Summary: Great product.
Comment: This is a great soap, shampoo, dish washing soap, laundry soap and best of all it is a soap, not a detergent, and is biodegradable. Dr. Bronner was way ahead of his time on this. I buy it by the gallon and mostly use it daily as a bath soap and shampoo. Best I've ever used.

Comment: Fifteen years ago I bought Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap to take with me on a 6-month hike of the Appalachian Trail. I used it as soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, dish soap...and it is great. Since then it's been the only body soap I use. The gallon lasts forever - I just use it to refill the small bottle I bought 15 years ago (how nice not to keep discarding packaging.) Even my young daughter loves the fresh mint scent.

Comment: so i received this soap and thought ok, this could not have come at a better time since i have the flu...i spilled some on my comforter while transporting the soap from the large jug to a smaller one and panicked but then read that it could be used as detergent too! In the washing machine in went and didn't even need to add detergent :) Now on the skin as a bathing experience, I have extremely sensitive skin btw, this soap is amazing, it soothes and cools your skin and lathers VERY well, while using only a small amount. It helped with my aches and pains from the flu and even opened up my sinus's a bit. The fragrance is lovely peppermint but not overwhelming, i ended up using this soap on my face, hair, and body and it was relaxing yet refreshing ..i will never use another soap again unless it's DR.Bronners and in another fragrance! You don't end up coming out of the shower smelling like a mint either wich is a plus for some ppl if you don't like that fragrance on you all day :)

Summary: You'll feel like a York Peppermint Patty
Comment: I got hooked on this soap years ago when I had nothing else to wash anything with. I've used it to wash my hair (though not as thoroughly as a harsher shampoo), brush my teeth, do my laundry and scrub my butt and I've never had dry skin as a result of this soap. When I have difficulty waking up, I hop in the shower, lather up in peppermint and turn the temperature down to cool in the shower. You feel like you're skiing in your underwear through the Swiss Alps or something similar. Imagine that minty fresh feeling in your mouth right after you brush your teeth and apply it to your entire body. It's quite invigorating.
My only complaints are it has a shorter shelf life compared to other soaps. It congeals and remains as a blob of wax like stuff if you don't use it all soon enough. It can still be coaxed out and used, but at a greater expense of time and effort. It also isn't quite hardy enough to make you feel like certain things are as clean as they ought to be. The obvious reason being that this is a gentle soap, so if your hair is covered in mud, you might want to deploy some reinforcements.
All in all a fabulous product. Oh, and you can spend hours just reading that bizarre label.
