Summary: We Love This Bike Carrier!
Comment: We love this bike carrier, and it's been awesome having it. The only design flaw I would note is the placement of the shoulder strap. Because of where the strap is attached to the back of the seat, it always falls off the shoulders of my daughter. Otherwise, I would recommend this seat before any bike carrier where its placement is behind the bike seat.

Summary: You won't regret this purchase!!
Comment: We love this product! We bought it for our 12-month old son as his first bike seat. And he lOVES it! It's great for him to ride without having to face daddy's back. And my husband had a pretty easy time putting it together as well. Buy it! Enjoy it!

Summary: Fabulous product but didn't work for me.
Comment: I absolutely LOVE the design of this product! I thought having my child up front would be perfect, both for her to learn how it feels to ride a bike and to have close interaction. Unfortunately, it didn't fit my bike (a 2008 Giant Sedona). There wasn't enough clearance between the back of her seat and the front of mine. I felt very precarious every time I needed to stop and put my feet down. I'm a small person, but I needed at least another inch to feel like I could quickly and safely make a stop. I think the frame of my bike angles back more than others and it just put the seat too close. So disappointed! PS-This item was VERY easy to install. I did it myself in just minutes!

Summary: Great seat! (as long as it fits)
Comment: We received our Ibert about a month ago. It is a great seat, but you sort of have to luck out on the geometry.
My bike is an older Trek mountain bike with fairly low handlebars meaning the rider is leaned fairly far forward so I was worried about everything fitting. Installation was very simple and thankfully when we did the test drives with each of the kids (who think the seat is AWESOME!) I just fit. My knees just barely brush the seat, but for the most part I can ride normally with clippless shoes or normal shoes. Pedalling normally my chin is just above my older daughter's helmet. Standing up to pedal is possible, but it is a bit wierd feeling and my kid's head ends up boucing back and forth between my arms. It is a little tight getting off the seat at a stop (in order to put feet flat on the ground), but if I turn the handlebars 45 degrees one way or the other then it is no problem. So, for short stops I just stay on the seat and somewhat uncomfortably hold the bike up with my toes, otherwise the handlebar angle method works well.
Now for the bad news... my wife, who has more leg and less torso as opposed to me who is the opposite, can't use the seat at all. Her knees just won't fit. So, unfortunately this seat is just a matter of finding out whether it will work with your bike and your body. The other downer is that the seat-belts are really poor, it all works fine it is just amazing that they put such a cheap setup in.
In conclusion, as long as it fits (and ignoring the minor seatbelt complaint) this seat is great! The balance is very nice, the kid loves the view, and the seat pops off easily when not in use. Thumbs up.

Summary: I Can Ride Again!!!
Comment: My son just turned 11 months and he LOVES this seat! I had been riding my bike and exercising soooo much less since my son was born, and I was desperate to get back into a biking routine. Bringing my son along is usually the only option. I first got a bike trailer that wheels along behind the bike. He wouldn't smile or make a sound in the trailer; he couldn't easily see anything outside the trailer except my back tire kicking up pebbles, and I couldn't see him without getting off the bike and looking. The trailer got two uses before I found the iBert seat. Now my son smiles, he laughs, he sings and he sees everything I see. I can talk to him, I can point things out. I don't know about him, but I feel I am actually riding WITH him instead of him just tagging along. With the iBert seat, it has become a SHARED experience. I'm 5'11"; my son is about 32". You must have 3/4" of space on your handle bar stem for this to work. The seat is easy on and easy off for the times I want to ride alone. Leg room is no problem at all. The only issue for me is that I've installed this on a mountain bike where I have to bend over a little. Because of this, my chest probably pushes my son's head forward a couple inches from where it would be naturally. Not a huge deal, though, and it certainly hasn't kept me from just loving this seat.
